Civics and Ethical Studies is one of the departments under the College of Social Sciences and the Humanities, which started by its undergraduate program in the year 2003 with 5 lecturers, and 69 students. Since then, the department has launched MA programs in two specializations namely Peace and Conflict Studies; and Political Science. The department has completed all required tasks to launch PhD program Political Science. Graduates from the department have got employment opportunities in different sectors and contribute significantly to the overall development endeavors of the country.
